I made at least a hundred mono prints of hooded heads while on residency at Mass MoCA during the month of February. ( image above shows categorizing process) At first, I was making the prints as a reaction to the  US Senate silencing Elizabeth Warren…but then I kept looking and continued going.  Was it the plague?  Fear?  Doom?  Or…it looked like a religious image …a beheading…a hanging…a terrorist act…  Was it the back of the head or the front? In any case the image is not light and cheerful.  It is political art. The viewer, like the artist,  casts the situation(s) upon the black hooded head.
